The law is unclear on this issue. "An intermediary, which shall include an attorney licensed pursuant to chapter 484; a physician licensed pursuant to chapter 334; or a clergyman of the parents" may place a minor for adoption.
What are the penalties for violation of this law?
Class D Felony if the facilitation of adoption constitutes trafficking of children.
